This area of The Kamikaze Duck Zone will be rather large, seeing as though it will contain
all of my thoughts that are in some twisted way, related to Gargoyles.
And remember,
if any of you send me mail, just say so and I'll post our conversations on this area of my page,
so everyone can share ideas on Gargoyles!
As I had stated in the About The Duck section of my page, I am very much into Advanced Dungeons
& Dragons. Well, one might ask, how does this relate to Gargoyles?
Well, it does in 2 ways:
- Gargoyles Are A Type Of Monster In AD&D
- I Believe I Have Successfully Translated Goliath Into An AD&D Charater
Here's how Gargoyles are horribly misrepresented in Advanced Dungeons & Dragons:
- Gargoyles are considered "Chaotic evil" which means they will kill anyone, for absolutely any reason at all
- If you wish to do any harm to a Gargoyle at all you need a magical weapon
- Gargoyles do not glide, they actually fly
- Gargoyles do not speak English, rather their own language of squeeks and inaudiable sounds
- Gargoyles can hit up to 6 times in one attack
- Gargoyles do not turn to stone in daylight or are otherwise affected by it
Now here's how I've translated Goliath in to AD&D terms so that if any of you out there are
AD&D players, you can use Goliath!
Name: Goliath
Race: Gargoyle
Sex: Male
Age: 60 (because Gargoyles age at the rate of humans)
Level: 18
Character Class: Fighter
Strength: 21 (He could lift 635 lbs. without even feeling it, and 810 lbs. maximum)
Dexterity: 16
Constitution: 19
Intelligence: 12
Wisdom: 10
Charisma: 9
Number Of Attacks Per Round: 12
Type Of Attacks: Claw/Claw/Claw/Claw/Bite/Tail
Damage Per Attack: 1d4+12/1d4+12/1d4+12/1d4+12/1d8+10/1d6+9
Now that makes for one pretty nasty Gargoyle to fight! Wouldn't you say?
Here's a couple of stories that I wrote that were partially inspired by Disney's Gargoyles.
Please email me and tell me what you think.
Soon to come, Gargoyle III: The Transformation
